Happy Birthday ray-jay. Love your face!!!
Sunday, September 6, 2009
Life back home is busy busy busy, but boring boring boring. Life is just so different without Ryan in it everyday. We talk multiple times a day. He calls when he gets up, when he goes to the field, after batting practice, and after the game. So I don't have to go very long without hearing his voice. He is a huge part of my heart and soul and when he isn't around, part of me is missing. The house is just so empty. Most of my friends are in relationships, so I get to hang out with couples a lot and it makes me miss Ryan even more. I'm just having a whining session....sorry....I'll move on.
We had our first football game Friday night. My pom girls did great. They are young and inexperienced, but have lots of potential. It's really fun to see all of them so excited about everything. We lost, but hopefully the boys don't get too discouraged. They are going to have a great season, they just have to stay positive.
Now to the fun stuff. I went to the first OSU football game on Saturday. Soooooo much fun!!! Go Cowboys. We won...of course. OU lost....which made my day even better. Haha. Sorry Sooner fans....actually I'm not sorry. I have had waaaay too many bad experiences with OU fans to count. Even most of my friends that are OU fans are rude and obnoxious during games. It's like they forget friend etiquette and try to drive everyone around them CRAZY!!! I don't really have alot of game day attire anymore...besides old pom uniforms...and lets be honest...no one wants to see this mid drift anymore...trust me. So I obviously HAD to buy a shirt. I also bought THE coolest water bottle ever. It is collapsible. Sweetness!!! And I bought an OSU koozie. I was all set for the game and tailgating. I never got to tailgate in college because I was always pomming, so I love the tailgating experience. Drinking, eating, and hanging out with friends....couldn't ask for anything more. Especially the drinking part. Haha....no really. I've been deprived of the game day experience for too long, so I am taking FULL advantage. And thank GOD I have a long weekend. I really want to start going to more games. I'll just have to convince Ryan of that.
I have begun a new workout plan. It consists of not working out at all. It is really working out nicely for me. I love how sleepy I am all the time and lazy lazy lazy. Good times. Everyone should try it. Yeah right. I have GOT to get back on a workout schedule. I am a worthless piece of crap lately and need to figure it out. I love working out, I have just been so busy lately that I just have had to make some sacrifices. Well...no more. I am getting back in the gym...after the long weekend of course. Haha.
Well, I guess that's all I got for now. Update you soooooon.

I got home at the end of July....only to find that one of my babies (kitties) died. I'm sure you read. Most depressing day EVER. I then adopted two more babies from the humane society. Tigger is doing GREAT. He is the sweetest. He will just lay with you and watch tv and sleep. Very independent and sweet. Now Martini....she is driving me F-ing crazy. This child will not shut the F up. She constantly whines. Ughhhhhh. I love her dearly, but Ryan threatened to "take her back where she came from." (I would NEVER let that happen, by the way.) RUDE!!! She is just a baby and needs attention at all times. But she will get better with age...I hope.
Ryan got to come to OKC to play the Redhawks for 5 whole days!!!! One day was an off day...what are the chances...I KNOW!!!! He was here for his birthday too, so I had a big ol party for him and all his friends. It was really fun. Lots of Beverage Pong and Flip Cup. If you don't know what those games are, then stop reading my blog because you don't deserve to. Seriously...stop reading...now. Anywho....it was sooooooooooooooo good to see him. I miss him lots. It's oh so close to the off season though, so I can't complain. I do intend on breaking his legs....Misery style of course....right around February 1st or so. That will take care of him leaving for spring training. It may put a damper on our relationship though....ehhhhh....it will be worth it. He'll get over it and thank me later.
School is back in session. Actually the first day was the day the boys got into town. Bad timing...I know. But it wasn't too bad. Their first assignment was to watch my video and learn the routine and perform it the 2nd day in front of the class. Just kidding. That would be fun though. I remember that thought. I am still coaching the pom squad at the high school. Someone shoot me please and thank you. I love the girls, but it really is a thankless job. I put soooooooooooooo much time and effort into coaching. It really is overwhelming at times. We had initiation last Friday. It starts at 2AM when we (the returners and myself and a couple parents) go kidnap the new girls and yada yada yada. We got done at 8AM. Fun times!!!! Ten I had PSAT training from 10 - 2. Awesome!!!! Needless to say, the first few weeks of school are always busy and stressful, but it will get better...it always does. I'm just trying to get my girls ready for football and my students in a routine and trying to get enough rest at the same time. I'm having to lay the smack down pretty thick, but once you get em trained it's smooth sailing. I had a REALLY interesting experience with the football team. Really....don't be thinking inappropriate stuff ya perves. I was leaving school one day pretty late. I had to make a test and grade quizzes...blah blah blah....you know....teacher stuff. So I'm walking out of the building and of course there are about 20 football players outside. I always DREAD walking by those boys...anyways....I hear a couple of hoots and shout outs..."Hey Mrs. Buuuuuuuudde, Can I help you carry that peice of paper?, I'll wanna take Geometry, Heeeeeeeeeeey!" You know...17 year old buy stuff. I can handle the innocent stuff as long as they are being polite and not taking it too far. Then one of them whistled and said..."Damn". I turned around and told them to watch their mouths and to act like young men. THEN...as I walked off....I heard..."I'll break that s*** off." Oh hell to the nizzo. I whipped around and unleashed the wrath of GOD. Then I went and got their coach. Sooooooooo ticked!!!!! I just can't believe the things that kids will say. RUDE!!!!!
Besides school, pom, inappropriate high school buys, and the count down for Ryan to be home, life is pretty boring back in OK. I'm soooooooooooo glad to be home sleeping in my own bed...I just with Ryan were here with me. I will definitely try and keep yall updated more often than once every month for sure. I just didn't really know where to begin since it had been so long.
Well...I'll talk to your pretty faces soon!!!!!

I came home from SLC yesterday. It was bad enough leaving Ryan, but I just knew it would be okay because I got to see my kitties when I got home. It was THE worst home coming ever. On the way home from the airport my mom told me that one of my kitty's (Smokey) was killed on Friday. He was hit by a car. If you don't know much about me, then you probably won't understand what I'm going through. My kitties are my babies. They are literally my children. Ryan and I got Missy and Smokey a couple weeks after we got married. We looked in the paper and found a couple of ads and went baby hunting. We found Missy and Smokey in Edmond. They were "brothers"...so we thought. They were originally Wookie and Smokey.... but....Wookie ended up being Missy. Ryan said he knew she was a SHE because she was smaller and bitchier and whinnier. Haha. We always joked and said that they traded down, because we got them from a gated community filled with million dollar homes, and they moved into the hood of M-Dub...into our three bedroom mansion. They were best friends. They played, fought, slept, and ate together. I just don't know how to move on from this. I am absolutely heart broken. I can't help but think that this is my fault. I NEVER should have left them for the summer. My parents came over every day and fed and played with them, but I just can't stop blaming myself. Ryan keeps telling me that it's not my fault and that these things just happen, but it's just not really helping. I know that animals die every day, but he was my baby. He was only 3 years old and was the most loving animal I have ever had. Missy isn't doing very good. She has been puking up all her food and she has diarrhea. I can tell she misses him and is depressed. She just clings to me. It is truly heart breaking.
RIP Smokey. I miss you so much.
I rescued 2 kitties from the humane society today. I didn't want to feel like I was replacing Smokey, but it really doesn't feel like that at all. I still miss him terribly, but I feel really great that I saved 2 other lives.

Now we are going to eat at the Old Spaghetti Factory. We have some gift certificates. No, not the ones that I found in the back seat. Those were from some steak house. The boys got these from the baseball field. We will save the ones from the steak house for a later date. I'm all about some free stuff. Well, I guess we will head that way. I'm STARVING!!!!!!!!!!

Not much else to update on. I'll be back after the break with some stories. I know you can't wait!!!!!!
Friday, July 10, 2009
I forgot to mention that Danny Masterson (aka Steven Hyde) was at the game on the 4th. He is friends with one of the players, so he came to take in a game. I personally am a HUGE fan of "That 70's Show". LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!! If you haven't ever watched the show, then you must be living under a rock. Just kidding. It really is a great show though, and I would definitely recommend watching it. He is the fro boy with the dry sense of humor. Hilarious. Anyway...I, being the stalker that I am, wanted to take a picture with Danny. Danny...may I call you Danny.? I know you probably read this blog...I mean who doesn't. I'm kinda a big deal. So, I wanted to take a picture with Danny, and so did one of the other wives...so I thought. So WE decided...again, so I thought....that WE would walk over to where Danny was sitting and just ask if WE could get a picture with him. I didn't bring my camera that night, so she said we could just use hers...again, so I thought. I happen to be a GREAT conversationalist, so WE decided I would do the talking...again, so I thought. So I walk down and sit in front of Danny and say, "Hey, I'm a huge fan of yours and me and my friend were just wondering if we could get a picture with you." He says, "Of course." So, I turn to my FRIEND to find.... an empty seat next to me....no friend.....no camera....just....me....the stalker. I'm then say, "Ummmm...yeah....the only problem is that I have no friend and no camera....so....um.....yeah....I guess I'll just sit here.....um yeah...." Then I proceed to make the situation even worse and say, "I swear I'm not a stalker. (Which isn't really true, because I kind of am, but I didn't say that of course.) I swear my friend was following me down here. I'm just....so how bout them Bees?" Yeah...I'm a retard. I then look over there where we WERE sitting, before I was thrown under the bus...by my FRIEND...and she just looks at me and smiles and waves. Yeah, that's right, she was back over by where we had come from with her camera in hand. What an a-hole. Haha!!!!! Just kidding. It was actually better than even getting a picture with him, because now I will always have that story. He did invite us to come out the next night, so I could get my picture with him. (Out of pity I'm quite sure.) But, he even thought it was really funny.
I got sun burned AGAIN today. Good times. We met a drunk pilot at the pool. He was here for the night, so he and one of the flight attendants and their little friend Captain Morgan (wink) were having a good time at the pool. I learned that it really is important to turn of all electronic devices during take off and landing. They can actually hear your conversations sometimes over the airways. Also, they can tell if you are buckled up or not. I know...vital information. He was really nice and had some funny stories. I also learned that you can purchase the cheapest alcohol in the world in Belize. Good to know....good to know. Thought I would pass that one along.
I have officially killed 9 spiders in my bedroom. I'm not sure if I should wash my sheets in Raid or what. I HATE bugs. Hate, hate, hate. They totally creep me out and it is causing me to have night terrors. I wake up in the night and think things are crawling on me. Or I will wake up and have to pee and I don't want to get out of the bed because I think they are on the floor. It is taking over my life and I don't know what to do.
Well, I guess that's all for now.
Please remember when flying to follow all directions given by the flight attendants. It may save your life....or it may just keep the captain from listening to your phone conversation.

We also found an amazing new place to spend our time while the boys are at the field all day. It's............ohhhhh the suspense..........the public pool...equipped with high dives and water slides. And yes I jumped off the high dive. I got THE biggest wedgie in the world and my top was floating around my forehead, but it was fun. I absolutely love to people watch. I just like to lay on my towel and watch and listen to all the different people walking by. It is quite interesting. We sat in the middle of all the high schoolers the other day and that was quite interesting. I learned that SF means suck face. I learned this by hearing a very mature high schooler's conversation. I was also taken back to a time where cellulite was just a myth.....where stomachs were flat and defined.....where tans were flawless......where.....ohhhhh those were the good ol days.
There are 4 more days until the All Star break. Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! I'm ready for some rest and relaxation with my man. I think everyone is ready for a break. All the guys will come back from the break ready to tear it up and hopefully make the playoffs. GO BEES!!!!!
Well I'm tired and headin to bed.

So, I'm going to get my hur did on Monday. I'm kind of nervous because one of my best friends back home is my hair stylist and I feel like I'm cheating on her. No really, I am nervous because no one else EVER does my hair. I know everyone always says, "It's just hair, it will grow back", but that is NOT okay with me. I have pretty much always had amazingly luscious locks, and I'll be damned if someone is going to take that from me. Again, kidding. I'm just all about sticking with what I know works, and I know that my friends back home works...I'm not sure about this new person. I'll keep ya updated though...regardless of the outcome. If I change my profile picture to a bald girl, then you know the outcome wasn't good.
On a lighter note. I'm sleeping in one of the guy's rooms while they are away and I'm thinking about doing something to his room before he gets home. I just lay in bed a night and try to think about what I can mess with that won't actually physically harm the poor bastard. I think that I will make his bed upside down so he can't get in his sheets and put toilet paper down in the ends of all of his shoes. There are about 20 pairs still here that he didn't take on the road with him. I'm an ornery little devil. I just feel like I can't leave the room better that I found it. It just wouldn't be right. Though he might not let me sleep in his room anymore when he is gone. Well worth it!!!!!! I'll take my chances. I really wish I could set up a hidden camera so I could see his face when he discovers the annoyingly harmless pranks. I may see some action I wouldn't want to see though. I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. Okay....moving on.
My friend from OK never made it to SLC. She couldn't get off the standby list. So she headed home today. She made a valiant effort though. She hung out in the Houston airport for 2 full days. Dang it!!!! I did go get my nails filled and a pedicure today. I settled for the same ol same ol. French toes and nails.
Well I guess that's all I have for today.
In the words of the late Michael Jackson, "Heal the world. Make it a better place." That's real talk.

I attempted to layout yesterday for approximately 25 minutes and here came the clouds and the rain. Ughhhh. I think they were just waiting for me to get out there. This is probably how the conversation went.
Clouds: So, I heard Darcy wanted to lay out.
Sun: Yeah, I think she is coming around 11:00 or so.
Clouds: Well, I will stay out of your way until she heads that way, so it will look really nice when she makes the drive, and then I'll jump in front of you right when she takes her cover up off.
Sun: Well, you did all the work last time she wanted to lay out, so I don't mind moving behind you this time.
Clouds: No really, I don't mind moving. I'm a lot faster, so I think it would be better if I just covered you.
Sun: Okay, if you don't mind.
Clouds: Not at all. I think I may even accumulate some precipitation and let that rip on her as well.
Sun: You are the best friend a sun could ask for.
Clouds: Stop it. Your making me cluster.
I know you didn't think that they talked to each other, but now ya know. Rude, Rude, Rude. That's fine, if they want to keep talking trash then I'll just go buy a couple hundred cans of aerosol hairspray and let it rip on them. Haha. Just kidding.
I went and got myself and a couple of the girls some Yogurt Stop last night. If you don't know what YS is...let me just fill you in. HEAVEN ON EARTH. Different flavors of yogurt and EVERY topping imaginable. After you make your creation you take it to the front and weight it to see how much owe. That's the bad part. The more you add, the more you pay. I must say, I took orders from the girls and the first one was awesome. Cheesecake yogurt topped with...NERDS. Haha. Yes, they even have nerds. I freakin love nerds. I personally get the vanilla yogurt topped with vanilla wafers and strowburrys (English accent). It is amazing.
The boys come home TOMORROW!!! Ooo Oooooooooo!!!!!! Can't wait. I'm going to pick up one of the wives and her boys tonight at the airport. I'm soooo excited that all the girls are coming back. A lot of the girls left since the boys were gone a lot this month. I must say, I will probably talk about the girls (wives, fiances, girlfriends, etc) a lot on this blog since they are such a HUGE part of my life here. I'm not like a sappy person or whatever, but I don't think this "baseball life" would be half as fun without them. I LOVE Ryan and I would come with him regardless. Even if I were the only girl here I would still love it, but the other wives, girlfriends, etc. make it so much better. I mean you can only hang out with BOYS for so many hours out of the day. I need gossip. I need to talk to someone that has experienced PMS. I need someone that I can borrow a tampon from if I forgot one. I need someone that loves pool time as much as me. I need someone that wants to know if Jen and Brad are really hooking back up, or if Tori Spelling really weights 42 lbs. I don't think that Ryan can give me these things. Haha. Moral of the story....you need your girls. So don't get sooooo caught up in yo man that you forget who is there for you when those BOYS act like jack asses. Ladies.....you now I'm right. Thank you reverend Darcy. Amen sista.
Well I guess that is all I have for now.
Catch ya on the flip side.

The Bees won tonight!!! Yay!!! My little catcher, Ryan, did very well. We also found out that a couple of the boys on the team made the All Star team. One of them is me and Ryan's roommate. We are so proud. Actually that is kind of a big fat freakin lie. I'm actually sad because that means no lake time for him. Sad face =( The boys come home the morning of the 4th. Only 3 more days. It seems like I haven't seen Ryan in forever. I guess it's good that I feel like it's been too long rather than feeling like it hasn't been long enough. Haha. I really do miss him though. Yeah, yeah, get a room. I know.
I have a friend from Oklahoma (cowboy state, not sooner state) coming to visit tomorrow. GO POKES. I'm sure I will have some fun stories to tell. We are kind of a big deal. I'm just sayin. I think we are going to get our nails filled and get pedicures tomorrow. I know you are on pins needles to find out what colors we pick out. "You want acrit o gewl? You want acrit o gewl, I do fo you? You no boyfrin?" If you have seen Bon Qui Qui on Utube, then you HAVE to see the same girl do the skit where she is going to get her nails done. It is PRICELESS!!!
Love, Peace, Hair Grease
Well, where do I begin? The Bees are on the road for 7 days. They played their last game in Fresno, CA tonight, then they are off to Colorado Springs, CO. Tonight the bees lost, again. The boys are a bit frustrated and are ready for the All Star break. We usually head down to the lake for a couple of days of relaxation. There is no stress, just fun. With the way things are going i don't know if any of our boys will be seeing their names on that All Star roster. I mean, honestly, lets think about this...Lake...another baseball game...lake....baseball. Ohhhhhh man, that's a tough one. Haha. I mean it would be an honor to make the team, but if you aren't going to make the team....you might as well have a fun 3 days off. Am i wrong? Am I wrong? Amen sister!!!!
Today myself and another wife hung out at the pool, got hit by a tornado, and then went to dinner. Whoaaaa nelly....that's right folks...a tornado. Yes, that's also right...I'm in SLC and not OKC. It was pretty crazy. Okay, we didn't actually get hit, but it was looking pretty nasty as we left the pool. Another wife was at work and lost all power and the roof was taken off of the building next door. CRAZINESS!!!! Just when I was feeling a little home sick...Oklahoma came to Utah. That was sooooo thoughtful.
Side note...there is a huge spider crawling on the ceiling right now. Ummm...ummm...I need a shoe...or maybe a sword...it's kind of huge. Got it. I hope PETA isn't reading this.
Well I guess that is all for tonight. I am tired and have a big day tomorrow. I might hit up the Walmart and maybe even the Bed, Bath, & Beyond. Big day...HUGE.
Live, Laugh, Love
