Well hello again. I figured it's time for an update.
Ryan left today for Colorado Springs for a 3 day series. Not to bad this time. Last road trip was 8 friggin days and I thought I was going to pull my hair out, so I can't complain about 3 days. I believe that every relationship should have 3 to 5 day "road trips" to keep the relationship....well....fresh I guess. I sucks being apart, but I truly believe that absence makes the heart grow fonder. I know that this baseball craziness that I call my life isn't for everyone, but I believe that there is such a thing as spending TOO much time together. And I know some of you are like "AMEN SISTA DARCY PREACH IT"!!! I know some may disagree...and to each his own...but I know that I am rarely sick of my hubby and I find myself counting down the minutes until I see him again. And I really don't think that everyone still has that excitement in their relationships. So if you find yourself feeling annoyed or overwhelmed by your spouse (And if you be sayin you don't, then you be lyin. "You ain't gots ta lie Craig....You ain't gots to lie." From my favorite movie Friday.)....just send them on a "road trip" every couple weeks or send yourself on one. I think a little separation is healthy. Just sayin. Feel free to beat me down in the comment box, but I know what works for me and I just thought I would pass along the info. Haha!
We had all the players over yesterday for the off day. Lots of fun!!!! I made Rudy's Cream Style Corn, Macaroni, Green Bean Bacon Wraps with Brown Sugar, Garlic, and Butter, and a Strawberry Jello Dessert with Pretzles and Cream Cheese and Whipped Cream. SOOOOO AMAZING!!! I'm the bomb...I already know. Ryan made his famous Budde's BBQ Brisket and cheesy jalapeno corn bread and one of our other roommates made ribs and home made BBQ sauce. We is the bomb.com. Ryan stayed up ALL night...with half of the team of course....smoking the meat. Thanks for not going to sleep honey!!! It was sooooo worth it!!! I tried to stay up, but Baby Budde was NOT havin it. We were tired, so we hit the hay about 3AM and gave the boys some "male bonding time". Like they don't get enough of that already. Haha. The boys get about 4 off days a year and they usually travel on 2 of them, so a TRUE day off is rare. I try to to whatever Ryan wants to do, because he deserves a day for himself.
Well, since the boys are gone I'm having a girls night. We are going to eat at Red Lobster....I can taste the cheesy garlic biscuits!!! My mouth is watering!!!! Then all the girls are going to come over and we are going to watch Twilight and then we will watch the 2nd movie tomorrow and then go see the 3rd at the movies on Saturday. Well....that's the plan at least. I haven't seen any of the movies so I wanted to start from the beginning so I wasn't confused. I've read the first 2 books, but got to distracted to read the 3rd, so I'm cheating and I'm just gonna go see the movie. Yeah yeah...I'm a cheater....whatever. Then some of the girls are going to spend the night because some of them are in big empty houses while their boys are away. I see some margaritas or pina coladas in our near future. Don't worry....mine will be a virgin mix. Damn baby. JUST KDDING!!! It's totally worth it....but best believe I WILL be having a big, fat, huge, mouth watering tacate as soon as I spit this child out. Pump and Dump right ladies!!!
Well that's all I got for ya for now. Catch ya lata!!!
